Perth-based trio Tame Impala are set to ring in a new era of free-jamming musical delight with the release of their electric debut EP out tomorrow Sat Oct 11 on Modular.

To celebrate the release of the EP, Tame Impala will hit the road for a series of intimate EP Launch Dates traversing across all capital cities this November presented by Triple J. Tickets are on sale from Thursday October 16. And as an extra special offer, every person who pre-orders a ticket for the shows will receive a copy of the Tame Impala debut EP CD at the door on entry.

Fuzzed with jamming guitars, tumbling drums and harmonized vocals the 5-track EP is an untamed, melody-soaked, psych rock package featuring the current alt radio hit Desire Be Desire Go that will surely have you swooning from sunset to sunrise this summer.

Kevin Parker [Guitar & Vocals], Dominic Simper [Bass Guitar] & Jay Watson [Drums & Vocals] are the barefooted boys behind Tame Impala’s hypno-grooves. After coming together through a mutual appreciation for living off five bucks a week, obscure songs of the 60’s and exploring the kaleidoscopic confines, they went about creating their buzzing, meandering headtrip of a sound.

Following just a handful of trips to the east under their belt, Tame Impala signed with Modular following a worldwide bidding war and made about developing their live show playing the support fiddle for The Black Keys, Mess Hall, Rocket Science, Futureheads & Yeasayer. On top of their EP launch tour dates, Tame Impala will also be hitting the road with You Am I in October / November before dropping jams with MGMT in December.

Tame Impala are offering a FREE TRACK from their EP now from www.tameimpala.com Those that grab the track will also subscribe to have the option to “complete your EP” and download the remaining tracks on the EP digitally for next to nothing.

For others in need of something more tangible the CD EP is available from all good retailers, and keep your eyes peeled for the oft forgotten 10" vinyl version of the EP being released early November, which is our recommendation for the best Tame Impala experience.
