Geelong’s MISSING HOURS are very excited to announce their debut album is hitting stores on Saturday November 1. An aural feast of 11 tracks, the album hits stands just prior to the brother and sister duo hitting the road for a national tour later that month.

Siblings Emma and Ant Hewitt - aka MISSING HOURS – have been writing, playing and breathing music individually over the past decade. They merged their musical passions together a year ago and the result is a beautifully diverse album reminiscent of Garbage crossed with Evanescence, and perhaps a little Fiona Apple thrown in. But despite finding inspiration from these and many more artists, the MISSING HOURS sound is uniquely new and refreshing.

Recalls Ant, “I’d been playing guitar for a couple of years, and was at that point of becoming bored with playing other peoples’ songs, and having that feeling you wanted to say or express something."

Indeed, the MISSING HOURS release will take you on a journey of expression and honesty. The first single Machine is a harder, upbeat rock song which channels some great instrumentation and production work underneath Emma’s almost haunting vocal. The track listing then moves on to anthems like Falling Down, before showcasing some more intimate moments like Not For You.

MISSING HOURS will be touring nationally in November and December with friends AVALON DRIVE. Be sure to catch their breathtaking sound in a venue near you
