The Kill Devil Hills hit Melbourne for 3 charged shows over the New Year's period.
This will be the WA band's first trip east since a recent change in the lineup. Departing members Justin Castley (bass) and Lachlan Gurr (mandolin/banjo) will be sorely missed, but change being the only constant in this universe....vale gentle beasts.
The group is now a more electrified 5-piece, seeing Ryan Dux (of Perth bands The Floors and Will Stoker and The Embers) take up bass duties for the upcoming shows.
Following these shows the band will spend January holed up somewhere away from the stinking hot sun recording their third album with producer Burke Reid.
Leaner, meaner and perhaps louder than Melbourne crowds have heard before, the band plays the Espy on New Year's Eve WITH SPIDERBAIT, LITTLE RED, THE MESS HALL, CHILDREN COLLIDE and TAME IMPALA followed by two headline shows at the East Brunswick Club
