I shamelessly own following The Fashion, I love the latest shoes and clothing range in department stores, I love new exciting technology and yes I love the New Wave and Hip Hop craze that is sweeping the music world at the moment. So added to this admission I will include a liking of The Fashion’s self titled, latest album release.

I have been struggling to give and accurate description of how I actually feel about this album. So I thought I’d give it a spin in a few different settings. I played it while I got ready for a night out, I played it in the car driving rather aimlessly around the city and today I played it in my office while I sat working at my desk, all of these of course at varying volumes. I couldn’t fault it in any of those scenario’s, I’m still not sure whether this means it has a lasting value or not, because it didn’t necessarily define any of those moments either. I can confidently say, you’ll find this album it is very accessible.

Solo Impala (Take the Money and Run)is an excellent example of an accessible song, with its firey lyrics and pumping pace you could just as easily exercise or dance to it as you could have it on while you sit or lie on your bed as thought provoking music to connect with something deeper.

There are times when sitting down at a computer we just let the words spew out onto a random collection of thoughts, and then you press save and your computer has already labelled it Untitled. I would like to imagine The Fashion’s song Untitledwas developed like this, because the lyrics and steady beat scream with raw emotion; “I’ve gotta find somebody like you…”.

The track APTshows off the talented vocal skills of Jakob Printzlau and equally compliments the guitarist Anders Find Axelsen, Bassist Christian Lignell Baekholm and drummer Jakob Ankaer Johansen. With lyrics like “Its much too quiet in this apartment…deafened by the sound of the raindrops falling” and the smooth rhythmic sound I challenge you not to be affected (positively or negatively) by this song.

I’ll leave you with one more cliché - set the trend and listen to The Fashion.
